Parents & Friends Association (HEFA)
Heytesbury Education Fundraising Association (HEFA)
Heytesbury is a small village primary school with a real sense of community. We have very close links with Heytesbury Hedgehogs Pre-school. HEFA is a valuable part of our school and pre-school community providing a link between the parents, their children, the school & pre-school and other interested parties such the church and local businesses. The HEFA is a dedicated team of volunteers who meet approximately once a term to brainstorm, plan and organize social and fundraising events and activities. Whilst every parent is an automatic member of HEFA, the group is led through the committee.
The current committee officers are:
Chair: Mrs Simone Bennett
Vice Chair: Mrs Sarah Hartshorn & Mrs Jane Kace
Secretary: Mrs Helen Rickards
Treasurer: Mrs Katie Elliott
Co-opted: Mrs Carole Godfrey (Head Teacher); Mrs Kit Pottow (Hedgehogs)
During the academic year 2018 – 2019, the HSPA (now HEFA) organised the following to help raise additional funds:
- cake sales
- Christmas fayre
- children’s discos
- Refreshments for various events, eg sports day
- pancake breakfast
- ice lolly Fridays
- summer fayre
For the 2019 - 2020 academic year, we are raising funds to purchase reading books.
HEFA is extremely grateful to the support from parents and friends throughout the academic year – without this help, HEFA would not be able to provide those “extras” for the children, or provide subsidies for activities, school trips etc.
Please let us know if you would like to be on the committee, help at an event, or if you have a suggestion for a fund fundraising activity/event.
